Support to the forsaken and estranged, especially children makes big differences in their lives. It renews their interest in life positively and builds on their general well being.

A
gape Foster Home is a project of Agape Leprosy Ministries India, a registered charitable trust. The project focusses on children because of their worth and helplessness. These children though free from leprosy are not received in any other institutions because of the stigma they carry. Agape began with the idea that something had to be done about this. Agape today houses 20 children offering them direction in life.

Agape is commited to serve the

1) Community of lepers
2) Cured lepers and their families in the areas of rehabilitation and hygiene
3) Rehabilitation of children of leprosy parents

Children in the age-group of
4-12 years from economically very poor situations are brought to the Ho
me which is managed by a matron and a couple who live with the children. Children are given balanced food, clothing, education and medical care. After the completion of their high school studies, they are encouraged to gain further education that is academic and vocational in nature.
